Mama Santa's Restaurant Pizzeria

12305 Mayfield Rd.
Cleveland, OH 44106
(216) 421-2159

Anyone who knows Cleveland or Cleveland's Little Italy knows about Mama Santa's. It is a quaint red and white-checkered table clothed Italian Eatery. Many people coming to visit Cleveland go to Mama Santa's, many coming home to Cleveland go to Mama Santa's.
Mama Santa's cuisine is simple and the prices can't be beat. I wouldn't say that the food is groundbreaking or even outstandingly delicious, but if you are in the mood for a cheesy thin crust pizza, Mama Santa's is the place. Although they serve traditional pasta dishes of Ravioli or Spaghetti with a Bolognese sauce and even your Picatta or Parmigiana, I would have to say that most come for the pizzas.Mama Santa's is cheap and satisfying.
I have to mention that there have been times I have visited Mama and her pizza was not fully cooked. This past visit the crust was thicker than usual, but in most cases, she pleases and her pizzas continue to bring back the crowds. Mama Santa's does not take reservations, so you may find yourself waiting in a line winding out the front door. Although you might have to wait, it will be worth it once you are sitting in the cute and cozy dining room.

Come on guys, geez! I am partial to Geraci's and i think it's funny how your are either loyal to Mama Santa's or loyal to Geraci's. I think Marotta's is okay, especially if you like thin crust. Other than that, C-town doesn't have many options.

I think Mama Santa's is good for what Mama Santa's does. I think Geraci's used to be delicious, but my recent visits the pizzas were just not the same. The dough was chewy and under cooked. I definitely think Marotta's pizza is wonderfully flavorful and consistently good, especially if you like thin crust. But of course if comparing C-Town to other bigger cities, C-Town definitely doesn’t have much to choose from.

I agree with you Mama Santa's is not bad, but not great. As for Geraci's, I do think it is better. I just don't go there anymore because the people up front treat you like they're doing you a favor by letting you eat there. I also think the cash only policy at Geraci's is an absolute joke. I could see if it was a little pizza place, but you can ring up a large enough order to exceed the cash in your pocket. My vote is for Antonio's.
